Nature Walks, Villers land of Geology
The falaises des Vaches noires (Black Cow cliffs) form a site of exceptional geological and paleontological interest.
The Villers-sur-mer Tourist Offi ce is perfectly aware of the site’s great wealth and of the capital importance of its transmission to future generations.For that very reason, the offi ce has, for many years, been committed to developing a vast environmental awareness programme concentrating, in particular, on the area’s geological and palaeontological heritage, with the help of the “Villers, land of Geology” nature walks.
These beginner level walks last from 1h30 to 3h and are open to all, from juniors to seniors. Walkers are accompanied by a nature guide who is sure to convey his/her love of the environment. Via a number of routes offering you the opportunity to discover Villers’ other natural sites, such as the shore, the marshlands and the surrounding countryside, you will become increasing aware of the vital importance of geology in our landscape and our heritage.
